Mosiah 7-10
Chapter 7: Ammon looks for & finds some people that left the land that he was concerned about. The find Limhi, son of Noah, son of Zenniff. Ammon teaches Limhi and reminds him of God and Limhi get hope that him & his people will escape bondage.
Chapter 8: Ammon continues to teach Limhi and teaches him about Prophets & Seers.
Chapter 9: Record of Zenniff. The 1st guy to leave Zahahemla. Limhi was one of his descendants. Zenniff wants to go back to the land the Nephites fled many years before. Possibly believing he could beat the Lamanites in battle to obtain it. They obtain the land unaware the Lamanites would plan of benefiting from them, but not before being eaten themselves.
Chapter 10: More examples of the people of Zenniff slowly forgetting God.
Talk about how we can do difficult things with Gods help.
Sometimes in life we need to do something we think we can’t do or we find ourselves in a situation that is really hard to cope with.
King Limhi’s people were in trouble, so he shared a story to help them have faith.
God has helped his children throughout history. Some of these examples are in the scriptures.
The story Limhi shared was of Moses. But there are others. Have we learned about anyone in the scriptures that needed Gods help?
